Shadow Folk Theatre is a collaboration between Toronto based folk music artist, Hannah Shira Naiman and Montreal based puppeteer Christopher Godziuk of Panadream Theatre. Using the music and lyrics of Hannah Shira Naiman as inspiration, Christopher has created a choreography of moving shadow worlds as a dynamic visual accompaniment to the musical performance. The shadow puppets become a part of the band using light as their silent instruments. This poetic dance of shadow, light and music is magical experience and unique addition to a live music performance.
In addition, Hannah Shira Naiman and Panadream Theatre are offering workshops in puppet creation for children. Christopher Godziuk has taught puppet making workshops at festivals all over Canada and internationally. The workshops are fun and hands on and every participant leaves with a puppet. There are variety of themes to choose from and Christopher sets up a professional puppet theatre for the children to play in.
